Clouds and the Valley of Snow
Woke up early today to drive up the mountain with Richard for some snowboarding. On the way there, it was cloudy and cold. 44 degrees when we started heading up the hill. I told him that I really hope we end up being above the clouds when we get to the resort. Sure enough, we rose right over the clouds about 3 miles before the resort. Then about 1 mile before the resort the roads are covered with snow but we make it all the way to the parking lot only to get stuck 10 feet in front of our parking spot. Luckily he jumped out of the car and gave us the needed manpower to make it to the parking spot. It was a great day of snowboarding. Powder was everywhere in the trees. I hope you all had a fun Tuesday too.

Raindrops
Another rainy night in LA. The other day, I was asked to take a photo of raindrops hitting the window. As I left the mall tonight it was raining like crazy and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to shoot that photo. So I reached behind the seat and grabbed my camera and snapped this one. I only took one photo, I might go back out and try some more stuff later tonight. We'll see. Ok so I drove around for about an hour tonight between 1am and 2am when the streets were dead. I deleted my first photo because I liked these ones so much more. Let me know what you think. Click the comment button right down there and leave some feedback. :)

Rays of Light
Got this on the way home from Utah. We woke up to 5 inches of snow outside and drove the first 3 hours through a mighty snowstorm. I think this shot is right after we entered Nevada. You can almost hear the AHHHHHHH (you know, that glorious sound that you hear when the sky opens up and heaven's rays shine upon you).

Snow, Ice and Sweets
Here are some random photos that I snapped in Park City today. There's no real theme to these ones. Just stuff that caught my eye. I keep getting harassed about the way I ramble about food so I won't say anything about those candy apples over there. It's really cold here, but I like it. My fingers went numb at one point. I was called Rudolph because my nose was so red and I can only imagine what the frozen snot looked like. Click the comment button and leave your two cents.

Golden State in the Beehive State
Golden State is performing tonight at the Sundance Film Festival. The 12 hour van ride to Utah wasn't as bad as you would think it would be. The van had 2 tv's and even had an xbox. I saw the thermometer drop to 13 degrees at one point. No joke. We arrived at Salt Lake City and it was 18 degrees. Our hotel had a 24 hour pool and hot tub so you know that I made the hot tub priority number 1. It's weird walking around during the day time and being able to see your breath because it's so cold. I'm not used to wearing so many clothes either. All the things we take for granted living in Southern California. I ate at this super yummy place called Toasters and had the soup/sandwich special. Tomato basil with Ravioli soup and this chicken breast sandwich with cucumbers, avocado, tomato and lettuce. Mmmmm. I'm going back for another one tomorrow. Here are some shots from a little rehearsal in the hotel room before we head out to Park City.

Gradient
I love rainy days. Sometimes I sit around all day with my laptop, cuddled up with a blanket and listen to the raindrops bounce off the rooftop. As I sat here daydreaming out the window, I started to admire the way the clouds form a giant softbox and how it creates such smooth even light.

Drizzly Days
It's been raining all day in LA today. I love the rain. I spent my time tonight watching the Lakers game, contemplating on whether or not I should drive down to Santa Monica and try to shoot some photos of the pier in the rain. Around 11pm I decided that I didn't feel like driving all the way there in the rain. So I sat around wondering what I was going to photograph for another hour or so and decided to drive down Ventura Blvd to see what I could see.
See? Ventura Blvd was dead. Some of the blocks didn't have electricity. I liked the way this little Mexican restaurant called Mexicali looked with the lights reflecting in the wet street. I dragged the shutter so I could get the tailights of a passing car as well.

Ice Ice Baby
Somebody left me a comment yesterday saying that they'd like to see a photo of the ice from my Starbucks drink. I thought that was a neat idea and I was up for the challenge. I just got back from the bux and this is what I ended up with. Pretty neat. I like how it looks like an alien world.

New to Blogging
I'm just trying to figure this whole thing out. I plan on adding some of my favorite photos as I snap them from this point on. Kind of like a new years resolution I guess? Any suggestions are welcome because I really don't have any idea what I'm doing here yet. Is there anybody even out there? hello hello......
